Black Tech Fest returned to Drumsheds in 2025, bringing together thousands of professionals, founders and creatives for a one-day celebration of technology, culture and community. Known as Europe’s largest event dedicated to Black culture in tech, the festival created a space for conversation, collaboration and shared experience, placing community and representation at the centre of the day.
With more than 150 speakers appearing across multiple stages, the festival made full use of Drumsheds’ scale and flexibility. The venue’s expansive industrial spaces allowed talks, panels and live sessions to run simultaneously while maintaining a strong sense of connection between audiences. Large open areas encouraged movement and interaction throughout the day, creating opportunities for networking and conversation beyond the stage programme.
The character of Drumsheds provided a natural backdrop for the festival’s identity. The openness of the space created a clear setting where the focus remained on conversations, speakers and audience throughout the day. Content, culture and community sat at the centre of the experience, with the venue supporting both large-scale moments and more informal exchanges between attendees. Production was delivered by Vibration Production, ensuring the technical and staging elements worked seamlessly across each space.
Black Tech Fest at Drumsheds once again demonstrated how the venue can support culturally driven events at scale, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue while bringing together diverse communities through shared experience. The result was a vibrant and forward-thinking gathering that reflected both the ambition of the festival and the evolving role of technology within culture today.
